The Power of Words Pt. 1: Do you still believe in Love?

Neighborhood Inaugural Ball

“I just don’t think I’ll ever be in Love the way this world is going!, I can do bad all by myself, I give up on dating, I’m just tired of waiting on “the one”, You can’t trust anyone, All men and women cheat, Ugh, Am I going to be single forever?” – Does any of these sound familiar? Yes, we all have heard these statements in Love panel discussions, late night phone calls to your friends, at a friends’ gathering, or wake up with dry eyes from crying about it– Loneliness. That is the root word people are afraid to admit or say out loud. It’s a word that is usually linked to the word “desperate” so we tend to shy away from admitting loneliness. Some are scared that because they are at a particular age in their life and still single then this means they are destined to be single forever, and some people are just giving up on the idea of love all together. Which means another word creeps in; Hopelessness. So of these 3 words: Loneliness, Desperate, and Hopelessness this could equal Depression but do you know the God we serve? Jesus name alone has power of healing, confirming and resurrection. There is power in words and if you speak those words into in your life the bible says: But what comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart, and this defiles a person. Matthew 15:18 ESV So be careful what you claim over your life.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.Proverbs 18:21

Speak well so that your heart will hear it well. Keep your mind positive so that it may edify your heart to be open to receive the blessings God has promised for your life. Sometimes we have to encourage ourself, become our own cheerleader for our own happiness and allow your faith in God to supersede what the devil is trying to hold you back from and that word is Joy! In part 2 and 3, we will show you excerpts from The Bible on how the power of words was used in the Bible –and how it relates into Love. Not only for a significant other but for God and things we love.
