So after reading “Becoming Fireproof” pt 1, you may be saying to yourself, ” Okay this all sounds good but how do I become “Fireproof”? You must “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him and he shall direct your paths.” This basically means that even though you may not understand what is going on in your life and around you, you have to know and have faith that God has your best interest in mind. We can trust this because it is written, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11. We also have to change our attitudes towards our storms. The mind is truly a battlefield! Whatever you think you can or cannot do, i can almost guarantee that it will come to pass in the natural, the bible says, “Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable- if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.” (Philippians 2:18)
Instead of thinking to yourself, “This will never get any better, I’m always going to feel like this, think what is God trying to reveal to me through this experience? What can I learn from where I am at this moment? How can i use this situation to witness to others and uplift his kingdom. ” Be not conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good, and acceptable and perfect.” (Romans 12:2) Just as God knows every part of us so does the enemy! The enemy knows God’s ways better than anyone so it is easy for him to try to imitate and manipulate a situation, or thought to make is seem as though it is of God’s will. He knows what’s in the Bible and uses verses to his own manipulation, so you have to be a step ahead and beat him at his own game! The devil is a LIAR! ” He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.” ( John 8:44). Once you have these things down you are ready for the most important things to possess in becoming fireproof, putting on the full armor of God.
