Many of us have been saddened or troubled by this feeling of loneliness at least once in our lives. Whether it was just getting out of a relationship, breaking away from a toxic friendship, a long distance relationship,moving to a new city with no familiar faces; whatever the case maybe, the question that always arise is “How do I get out of this state of Loneliness?”
Loneliness can be an uncomfortable feeling when you are use to being the socialite and doing something all the time. However, sometimes God pushes us into a state of isolation or breaks us away from certain people so that he may step in and reign over our lives. The misleading thought of having a human being to fill our void is only a temporary fix to a permanent solution. But when we pray and let God take over every area in our life he then begins to comfort us in the midst of our loneliness and becomes our eternal fix. Do you remember that old time song “Have a little talk with Jesus, tell him all about your problems” ?..this is exactly what he wants us to do.
“But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.There I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
God wants YOU to voice your issues unto Him, dialogue to Him on how you are feeling; whether it’s through prayer, fasting, or documented in a journal. Communication to God is your breakthrough for Completion in God! So I ask you this question, “What steps are you taking to fill the void of Christ in your life? What scriptures come to mind when loneliness creeps in?” Start memorizing scriptures that will comfort you whenever you start feeling lonely and remember God has your back!
