Have you been asking God these questions lately: When will I find joy? When will I get married? When will I get my dream job? When will I be financially stable? When will I be able to retire? Have you notice a pattern with these questions? Yes, they were all directed and focused on you! Lol Don’t feel bad, it’s o.k., we are all human and sometimes we get so engulfed with our external situations that we become stagnate in the “i want it-gimmie now” mode.
Now, there is nothing wrong with asking for your situation to change for the Bible says; “ Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart’s desires” Psalms 37:4 However, the question God really wanted you to ask HIM first was: How can “I” best serve you God? How can I be made whole? What else can I do to mature in my Christian walk?
When you start to direct your questions on what better ways to serve God, He will direct you in the way you should go, and within that direction He will start to reveal to you the answers you seek. How do we know this to be true?
We can think of two good reasons:
- And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19
- Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall. Psalm 55:2
It’s all in God’s Timing. Some answers may seem to be revealed slower than others but have faith and trust that he will turn your situation around at a pace that he knows that will best suit you. So with that said,
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27
