A Prayer for Discouragement

Lord,

Sometimes life just seems so hard, and the darkness falls heavy upon my soul. Discouragement sets in, and I whisper silently to you, “please help… I need you, my world desperately needs you.” Your word is an anchor, it anchors my soul. It gives me hope when I’m hopeless and strength during times of trouble.

So when my heart feels lonely and courage threatens to abandon me, I’ll remember your word, I’ll trust and stand firm.

Amen.
