When I thought about the topic “Starving Christians”, I immediately leaned back in my chair,
placed my folded hands behind my head and had a huge smile. My mind drifted over to Proverbs 26:15, “A sluggard buries his hand in the dish; he is too lazy to bring it back to his mouth.”
As it is in the natural, if you’re too lazy to pick up the food in front of you to eat , you will soon become Anemic to eventually death. Same as it is spiritually. When you are starving, the only real solution to end starvation is to make time for prayer and reading your Word. I know..I know.. there is not enough time in a day to read and keep up with life. But let’s look at Proverbs 26: 13 for it says, A sluggard says, “There’s a lion in the road, a fierce lion roaming the streets!” This scripture means, people tend to use excuses or maybe exaggerations on what is preventing them from taking action [in this instance “going to the road”]. We do the same thing when we (yes, I’m including myself) find excuses in not spending time in the Word.
So Let’s pick up our Word..and feast in the fullness of His presence!

AMEN to that one and the Truth is the Truth. Great writing. Agreed to we as humans can
make continual excuses…..yet when it comes to looking just right…well we can spend hours
or days and not even think of picking up the word and “”NOT BEING SLOTHFUL”

It’s funny, because that is usually MY excuse. It’s not because I don’t know that I need to, or even that I don’t want to. It’s straight up old school I-don’t-feel-like-it laziness. So true! Satan knows it too!
